Anthony Blackburn

I founded Golf in Society in 2016.

My lifetime passion for sport and over 7000 hours as a specialist caregiver for people living with dementia & Parkinson's disease, has provided me with an intimate understanding of the challenges facing families living with chronic illness.

This unique insight gave me the confidence to co-design & develop a unique & innovative portfolio of services that enable older adults to enjoy life, stay physically active, socially engaged, mentally stimulated and feeling better supported.

Giving the families we support a seat at the design table and encouraging them to use their lived experience to shape and influence the future of adult care has proved to be a game-changer.

Do you share my vision and ambitions? Are you interested in getting involved? I'd love to hear from you.

A simple hello can lead to a million things.

Julie Walker

Julie Walker is the founder of Women on the Tee, an initiative dedicated to empowering women through golf. Based in Ayrshire, Scotland, Julie rediscovered her love for golf over the past decade and now advocates for making the sport more inclusive, especially for women who balance caregiving roles or face challenges like loneliness and dementia.

Her work focuses on creating a welcoming environment where women of all backgrounds can access the game and enjoy its physical and mental health benefits. Julie is a strong proponent of improving how golf clubs and organizations communicate with new players, helping break down the barriers that prevent many from discovering the sport.

Through Women on the Tee, Julie aims to make golf more accessible and enjoyable for everyone, fostering a supportive and values-driven community that encourages women to embrace the game.

Su & Youn Bak

Dementality was founded by sisters Su and Youn, inspired by their personal experiences with their mother’s dementia. They focus on creating supportive environments and holistic approaches to care for those with early dementia. In collaboration with Golf in Society, they plan to introduce dementia-friendly golf activities in Switzerland. This initiative aims to offer a gentle, engaging form of physical and mental stimulation tailored for individuals with dementia, promoting well-being through social interaction and exercise.
